Goliath From Gargoyles Custom Vinylmation

I recently finished this custom three inch vinylmation as a birthday gift for someone rather special.

I used a toy dragon (shown in some of the pictures) in order go get the parts for the wings, horns, and tail. I did smooth out the tail so that it would match Goliath's. He also has actual fuzzy long hair. This is the first vinyl I have tried to put shading on (the clouds, the folds of his loincloth, face and arms).  I honestly have no idea how long he took me to create but I know it was definitely over 20 hours.

Enjoy!

Merlin and Bolt Nine Inch Designs Animation Series 1

Merlin (The Sword and the Stone):

Very cute design! I love the look on his face and how his nose lines up perfectly (or almost perfectly) with Mickey's nose. The cuffs on his robe also end perfectly with the cuffs of Mickey's gloves. I also love the magic dust across his ears!

Bolt:

Kinda cute. Again, I do like that his nose matches up with Mickey's nose. It also appears that is collar has an accessory: the dog tag appears to be a separate piece. Since I have not seen one in real life yet, I assume that he has the bolt on his side. It would be kinda silly for him not to. Ok, beyond kinda silly...

Over all I like these designs, especially Merlin...hmm.. and when is the next pay day?

My Cruella De Ville Repaint

I decided to play around with the design on Cruella de Ville, so I repainted her! I changed the dress color, added a metallic green inside to her coat and of course gave her a fur coat with dalmatian trim! My design is on the left while the original is pictured on the right. I hope you enjoy!

Location Vinylmation

I love that they make special vinyls for major cities with Disney Stores!

New York

Interesting, I think I like the Statue of Liberty Minnie more. This seems a bit generic.

I love the tin! I also really like Mickey in the back seat!

San Francisco

Oh this is kinda cute. I love the Mickey head detail.

This is really pretty! I love how it's like night and day!

London

Cute, but why is the same image in each of the windows? Unless it is like you are looking out each window as if you were on each level instead of looking out the windows from afar?

This is kinda cool!

Well, This is Slightly Horrifying

So on DisneyStore.com they recently added the Holiday Series 2 Independence Day Nine Inch Vinylmation and I am confounded. He kinda looks like a slob. First off, please use sunscreen so you don't have that lovely raccoon look. Secondly, a wife beater, REALLY?!?
I beg that this is not a mirror held up to society. He honestly would have looked better if he was, like his card, tan and not sunburned.

Vinylmation Bakery

Bluntly, I was very much worried when I saw the sneak peek photos of the Bakery series on the official Vinylmation blog:

I was worried mostly because, as you all know, I am very much against changing the original form in order to adapt it to a concept. Accessories are great, just don't change the actual form. So I was very very happy when I saw this:

Now all is right with the world! Plus these are from the original mold; no five-piece body and missing nose!

Plus I love the open box packaging!

Here are the last five of the series with and without their frosting:

Minnie, Cute as always!  I love the frosting for her, though she seems a bit naked without the frosting. Then again, in the older cartoons she only wore a skirt so maybe this isn't that naked for her.

Marie has the most adorable cupcake cup! She is just adorable, though I her face in the Animation series over this one,  it was just a bit happier.

The Cheshire Cat has awesome frosting, you just can't get away from those infamous pink stripes!

Tinkerbell: well, it is hard to create a dainty pixie on such a rounded form. It is cute but I think if you made her eyes a bit bigger it would make her seem a touch slimmer. And why is her hair tie so far away from her bun?

Ok my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE IN THIS SERIES: Mickey with icing on his face! I just think this one is so cure an funny. Perfectly captured that shocked look on his face whenever something odd happens! Plus I love his frosting with the Mickey sprinkles! It almost makes me want this instead of a birthday cake... almost!
